The SAT Math course taught during the summer prepares students to take the SAT test administered by the College Board. Students are introduced to the format of the test, mathematical topics covered by the test, and strategies to help improve scores. Students practice multiple-choice elimination techniques and how to avoid traps hidden within the test. The course uses the Cracking the SAT textbook published by The Princeton Review. Students are assigned homework daily in order to practice the techniques and become familiar with question types. At the end of the program students are administered an actual SAT test which will be used to help develop personal strategies to be used during future tests.
