The Sophomore Introduction to the SAT course introduces students to the SAT test administered by the College Board. Students become familiar with the format of the test and how the test is developed. Students practice multiple-choice elimination techniques and how to avoid traps hidden within the test. Vocabulary is assigned and students have words they need to keep reviewing. Students are given specific strategies on both the Critical Reading and Math sections of the test. Students will also be assigned multiple sections of released tests to practice their test taking skills.
At the end of the program students are administered an actual PSAT test which will be used to help develop personal strategies to be used during future tests.
