Calculus I
This calculus course is designed to familiarize students with the calculus concepts they will encounter in their high school or college class. This course reviews some of the topics of a traditional precalculus course while previewing some of the topics covered in a traditional calculus course.
These topics include: a review of elementary functions and their graphs, the difference quotient, domains and ranges of functions, limits (one sided and infinite), the slope as a rate of change, the definition of the derivative, rules for finding the derivative (power, sum, difference, product, quotient, and exponential), the derivative of the sine and cosine functions, and the relationship of the derivative graph to the original function’s graph.
